Chris Colocousis
Research Assistant
Chris Colocousis is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology with interests in social stratification and community change and development, with a particular focus on natural resource dependent communities. Chris received his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College in criminal justice and religious studies. He then served in the Americorps National Civilian Community Corps in Washington, D.C. before obtaining his Master's Degree in Sociology at UNH. At the Carsey Institute, Chris works as a research assistant in the Poverty, Community, and Environment program. His doctoral thesis focuses on how communities historically reliant on the pulp and paper industry are negotiating a period of economic restructuring in the Northern Forest.
