Faculty Resources

The Carsey Institute seeks to support and engage UNH faculty through the following opportunities:

Carsey Fellows

Carsey faculty and senior and policy fellows work closely with Carsey Institute staff and students, usually over three-year terms to help guide and grow the work of the institute. Fellows are invited to the program based on how their own scholarly work aligns with the institute's mission. Typically, engagement takes the form of authorship of applied research, reviewing drafts of Carsey publications, or serving as a P.I. or co-P.I on proposals for external funding that supports Carsey initiatives.

See our current list of fellows.

Contact the director to discuss becoming a future Carsey Institute fellow.

Research Development Working Group

The institute’s Research Development Working Group has supported faculty research through consultations and trainings since 2005. Building on this strong interdisciplinary model, the institute increases collaborative research capacity and identifies opportunities for partnership across the UNH campus. For more information, please contact David Pillemer.

On-campus Events

The institute promotes events throughout the academic year including Brown Bag presentations of ongoing Carsey research, colloquia, and policy seminars. Visit the Events page or sign up for Carsey Events on our home page with your e-mail to be notified of upcoming events.

Carsey Summer Research Support Fellowship

When possible, Carsey offers fellowships to support UNH faculty research. Carsey student fellows will further faculty research projects that seek understanding of issues affecting children and families or sustainable community development.

If you have any questions or ideas about how to engage with the Carsey Institute, please contact Interim Director Bruce Mallory.
