Policy and Research Areas

Since its inception in 2004, the Carsey Institute has become a leading national center for policy research on vulnerable children and families and on sustainable community development. We have developed strong capacity in demographic analysis and evaluation and provide those resources to decision makers and academic colleagues in the region and nation through analysis, interactions with the media, and strong community partnerships.

Our rigorous, timely studies help policy makers and community leaders make better decisions as they work to reduce poverty, create sustainable, healthy communities, and understand the social and economic changes the nation and world are experiencing.
