Amy Sterndale
Amy Sterndale is responsible for overseeing all public relations for the Carsey Institute, including organizational branding, direct communications with Carsey subscribers, university relations, media partnerships, websites, and all research publications. She gives presentations on social media best practices and is on the steering committee for the National Rural Assembly.
Prior to joining the Carsey Institute, Amy worked at Random House, Inc. She oversaw the promotion of hundreds of titles by former presidents and business leaders, health experts and historians, including twenty-seven New York Times best sellers. Later at Arcadia Publishing, she managed the largest division of the British company, creating photographic histories of small towns and urban neighborhoods throughout the northeastern United States. Amy has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of New Hampshire and is currently pursuing an MBA. She is a 2005 graduate of Leadership New Hampshire and a former officer on the boards at the Portsmouth Historical Society and HUB Family Resource Center. Amy lives in Durham, New Hampshire with her family.
