melissa.wells@unh.edu Prof. Melissa Wells is a faculty fellow at the Carsey Institute. Her research examines adolescent victimization, both within families and over the Internet. Her recent publications examine foster care outcomes, including post-secondary education for youth aging out of the child welfare system.
Melissa received her doctoral degree from the Department of Sociology at the University of New Hampshire in 2004. Her prior research appears in journals, including Children and Youth Services Review, Child and Adolescent Social Work Journal, Child Abuse and Neglect, and Child Maltreatment.
